Creating Value Beyond Industry

Corporate Social Responsibility

At Bahrain Steel, our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is rooted in the belief that industrial growth must go hand in hand with environmental preservation and social impact. Our CSR policy outlines key focus areas aligned with Bahrain’s national sustainability goals and our own core values — with a strong emphasis on environmental conservation, education, and meaningful partnerships. In 2024 alone, our CSR spending reached USD 417,000, reinforcing our dedication to creating lasting positive change.

One of the most impactful areas of our current CSR efforts is environmental restoration, with a focus on biodiversity and climate resilience.

Flagship Initiative: Mangrove Reforestation

In 2024, Bahrain Steel signed a long-term Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) to support the planting of 200,000 mangroves over five years across key coastal areas in Bahrain.

Mangroves are a vital part of the Kingdom’s natural ecosystem — helping to protect shorelines, promote biodiversity, and absorb carbon emissions. Through this partnership, we are not only contributing to ecological restoration but also supporting Bahrain’s national carbon reduction commitments.

This multi-year project reflects our long-term view of CSR: one rooted in strategic, measurable, and lasting impact. We work closely with environmental authorities to ensure that each phase of the project is aligned with the highest standards of conservation and monitored for results over time.
