Governance
Governance is defined as involving a set of relationships between a company’s management, its board, its shareholders, and other stakeholders, and also provides the structure through which the objectives of the company are set, and the means of attaining those objectives and monitoring performance are determined. It influences how the objectives of the company are set and achieved, how risk is monitored and assessed, and how performance is optimised.
The purpose of the policy is to outline the governance structure and supporting framework for Bahrain Steel B.S.C.(c). E.C. The Governance Framework together with the Memorandum and Articles of Association details the authority and governance practices for Bahrain Steel.
It is fundamental for Bahrain Steel to have high standards in Governance to maintain its leading position with the local and regional industrial sector and the community. Continuous review and adherence to effective governance practices help enhance compliance levels according to the best international standards and practices.
Bahrain Steel shall continue its endeavor to enhance shareholders’ value, protect their interests and defend their rights by practicing the pursuit of excellence in corporate practices.
